WIM Studio creates performances that are live collaborations between body, garment and machine.

By delivering haptic sensations across the body, WIM creates a new haptic language to direct or choreograph movement.

The studio’s work builds on the fields of neuroplasticity and haptics, using the powerful sensory input system of the skin and

the brain’s awesome capacity to interpret patterns from new information.

WIM technology delivers sensory stimulation to the joints and skin,

communicating information about the sequence and nature of movements to the wearer.

Working with dancers and performers to inform the placing and integration of this technology,

the result is a live choreography system of garment-based stimuli.
